Dante Exum Remains Undecided On Attending College

Aug 28, 2013 8:08 PM

Dante Exum will graduate from high school in Australia in October and is one of the top prospects eligible for the 2014 NBA Draft.

"Schools have been saying I can start in early December and play this season," Exum told ESPN. "But if college is the option, I'll stay in Australia, do workouts with the national team and then go to college next August. Playing this season in college is not an option."

Exum is considering Indiana, North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan and Oregon.

Dante Exum '50-50' On Declaring For Draft Or Playing College Basketball

Aug 10, 2013 9:27 PM

Dante Exum is strongly considering declaring his entry in the 2014 NBA draft.

"I used to be like 90 percent to 10 that I was going to college, but recently they are saying that my stock has risen even more, that I could possibly go top five," said Exum, a native of Australia. “Now it's more of a 50-50 decision."

Exum, a 6-foot-6 point guard who’s being recruited by Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky and North Carolina, among others, admits to being lured by the financial security of the NBA.

"If I'm ready, I'm ready - and the money also appeals,” said Exum. “I always dreamt about being rich as a kid. But my family will always help me make the right decisions throughout the whole process.”

James Blackmon Reopens Recruiting Three Years After Indiana Commitment

Aug 9, 2013 11:16 AM

James Blackmon has reopened his recruitment after committing to Indiana before his freshman year at Fort Wayne Bishop Luers.

Blackmon is ranked No. 33 in the class of 2014 and told Tom Crean of his decision on Thursday.

“(Crean) told me to take a look, but he feels like I should be at IU and he wants to coach me,” Blackmon said. “That’s basically it. He’s a great coach. I just want to make sure I’m making the right decision.”

Blackmon will still consider Indiana.

“I don’t really regret (committing early),” Blackmon said. “I just don’t want to be unsure of my college choice. I wouldn’t doubt that I end up back there (at Indiana). I just wanted to have something to compare it to.”

Trey Lyles reopened his recruiting last August after previously committing to Indiana.
